A few weeks ago I was up in NYC teaching a seminar which went AWESOME. It’s going to be the basis for my new DVD – The Warrior Within which I will be releasing in the next few weeks. After the seminar I took out my homey Cliff and a 1on1 student. This is a story about what happens to me on a normal Saturday night in a city I’ve never been to before.

We all meet up at the club and start off with a nice warmup cocktail. The drinks are like 20 bones a piece and it’s 250 for a bottle, so it’s pretty clear that we are going to have to get a table as it’s way cheaper that way. As we are chilling there a whole wedding party of 10 girls rolls up. You know that I love those bachelorette parties. So they roll up to me and start taking photos because of my crazy hair and tattoo. So they get me and the bride and my tat.

At the back of the group there was this really cute Indian girl. So I just grab her arm and pull her in close and start whispering some dirty shit into her ear. I’m just super into her. She is very sexy to me. And she’s really feeling me and it’s like super fast because I’m in like a super mood you know? But then her friends all walk off. They call her to join them and she looks at me. I could have told her to stay but I needed to spend time with my boys. So I sent her on her way and let her know I was going to find her later.

Two minutes later I’m trying to get my boy to open this really tall blond with a naughty looking friend. He gets too nervous so I just grab her and whisper that I think she looks really sexy. We all start chatting in a big circle. We got 3 dudes and 2 girls, but it’s all good. We are just rotating and taking turns and being super chill.

Now I normally don’t go for blonds but this girl had a smoking body and bird lips. I am always into girls that look like animals and I LOVE front ribs. So her dress is sexy as hell and I just go for it. I get really physical and we start dancing in the middle of the crowd. I am dropping old school swing moves. I’m still really pumped about setting my lifetime max at the gym the other week so I wanna show how strong I am. If you have ever seen my pics you know that I don’t feel that way very often.

So I spin her around and do some serious high risk dips. I am totally physically dominant and she just whispers in my ear “I love how you just take control.” I am super feeling it. But I gotta take care of my boys so we slide outa there and tell ‘em we’ll be back later. I took some pics and scored her facebook for the next time I’m in the city. Just to be on the safe side.

We bounce around and talk to some more chicks but nothing really memorable happens. So we finally decide it’s too jammed and get a table. We go to tell the girls and this other dude is all up in my blond’s grill making moves. So I just walk up to her and completely ignore him and tell her we are getting a table. Her and her girl roll off with me and Cliff to sort it all out. As soon as we get the table the blond goes to use the bathroom and is never heard from again.

I see her later on being lead around by another dude but by that point I’ve got a bunch of other girls partying at our table. Things were crazy that night. So I’ll hook you up with some highlights.

- Three girls pull off my shirt and start rubbing me down because they think I’m a coke dealer. My friend didn’t know what a bump was when they asked and told them to ask me.

- I had a 4 way kiss with another dude and 2 girls. Then he tanked and I had a 3 way kiss with 2 girls. (Much better but less funny)

- I fingered this married hot chick in front of her husband because they are swingers and she texted me a bunch of naked photos of her.

So I think it’s over with the blond chick but I wake up and she’s blowing up my facebook like it’s going out of style. She even made a picture of the two of us her new profile pic. I got her digits and we did some texting, but she lives in Boston and I’m in Florida for the next few months at least. Hopefully we’ll meet up when I’m in the city in September.

The Story of my Oneitis

I fell in love with a stunning girl when I was living in Japan.  We were best friends and spent 6 days a week together.  She had a long distance relationship with a guy who I can only describe as one of he great losers of our generation.  He was an “actor” who had a single line in a video game that tanked.  He once told her that he would be happy if he was homeless but he only worked because he knew how greedy she was.

I was so weak that I couldn’t compete with this guy.  Imagine that.

We hung out all the time and I did EVERYTHING for her.  I paid for everything.  Took her out all the time.  Cooked all the time.

After six months we finally smashed on Valentine’s day.  It was cool.  Of course she made me promise to keep it a secret.  So everyone around us continued to think of me as a loser who was in love with his best friend and getting nowhere.  But in reality I was a loser who was in love with his best friend who was getting laid about once a month.  I had a bad case of oneitis.  There is no other way to say it.

I have so many vidoes and pictures of us hanging out all the time.  Over 5,000 pictures.  That’s right.  So believe me I know what it’s like to be at the other end of the spectrum.  In one of my videos I straight up ask my oneitis if she is banging a certain dude.  She tells me no.  I have it on tape.  How intense is that.  Wait and see!

One day she tells me she is starting to have feelings for this dude.  I totally freak out because I am so emotionally invested in her.  I am like you guys hang out sometimes, is there more going on?  Again she says no.  He lives so far away sometimes I drive her to chill at his for an afternoon.  Since she just has some feelings I guess it’s no big deal.  I mean I threw a tantrum like a baby.  I can’t lie to you.  I was such a bitch.  I think I threw her out of my apartment.

A few days later I call her and her phone picks up.  I hear a familiar sound.  I can’t hang up.  For 11 minutes I listen to her smash this other dude.

Turns out that she had been smashing him for a while.  Even now I’m 100% sure I don’t know the real truth.  Was she banging him the first time I asked months earlier and she said no?  No  way to know.

She broke up with her long distance boyfriend for this dude.  She was supposed to move back to America but she was willing to stay in Japan for this dude.  He told her not to bother.  One day he came up to me while she was out of town and wanted to be friends.  He talked about how she was a liar and a slut and we should be friends.  This chick was my best friend dudes.

This was almost 5 years ago and I am getting emotional writing about this right now.

I of course told her went down and she made me promise not to fight the guy for hating on her.  This between me and her were so strange.  She was back in my small village for a week before leaving Japan forever and we spent the week banging like champions.  In bed we are electric together.

The truth is that I can only tell you less than 1% of the story  here as it’s so convoluted and detailed.  I will tell you that that low point was when I told her “It doesn’t matter who you bang, I will always love you.”

The Inspiration for Change

I stayed in Japan another year.  The ghosts of her were everywhere though.  So when my time was up I couldn’t live in America.  I couldn’t be in the same country as her.  That’s how deep it was dudes.  I would love to pretend that I’ve always been a Jedi Pickup Artist but it ain’t true.  I am a creation of my own will.

I decided to move to London.  I of course couldn’t resist and spend a weekend in New York City with my best friend and met up with her for an afternoon.  If you ever read my posts where I am brutal to guys who are in love with their best friends it’s because of this day.  She already had a new boyfriend.  She’s one of those girls who’s perpetually in a relationship.  She can’t be alone.

I was so weak and I almost cried a ton.  I was the most beta guy on the planet that day.  I wish some other dude had come and kicked me out of orbit.

So I moved to London and I was so brokenhearted.  Distance did help and I finally stopped emailing her all the time.  Six months later I read The Game by Neil Strauss.  I read it in a single day.  It blew my mind.  If you ever wonder why I became such a legendary pickup artist so fast.  My pain was the fuel and this book was the engine.

That night was Christmas Eve and I was talking to her on the phone.  She mentioned how the dude might be moving to New York and he’d been by her apartment.  I realized in that moment what I was.  I was a worm.  I had created my own destiny.  But I was still a worm.  She hadn’t invited me to her apartment when I was visiting.

So I cut off all communications with her for years.  I focused on becoming the man I always dreamed of.  And the truth is she probably didn’t even notice that I wasn’t emailing her.  Was I cured?

Phase Three: Can You Get Your Oneitis Back?

This is a real truth about guys who read books and articles and blogs about meeting women.  And there is a 90% chance that it directly relates to you as you are reading this right now.  And most guys I know who are really big dating coaches will deny it to their graves.  But really most of us had the plan to become master pickup artists and then go back and make our Oneitis fall back in love with us.  I was just talking to Rob Judge about this the other week.  Might be why this topic is on my mind.

So a few months ago I was in Hawaii living my dreams and my oneitis popped onto skype.  It was so weird.  I hadn’t seen her online in like 3 years.  Within 30 minutes we were on the phone talking dirty as hell and I was badgering the witness.  I admit it.  She still really knows how to fire up my motor in a major way.

Turns out she just moved in with her new boyfriend but she was coming to Hawaii a few weeks after I was leaving.  She asked me to stay around and see her.  I could have.  But we definitely would have banged and I didn’t want to ruin another one of her relationships.  Even after all this time I still want the best for her.

We have been texting on and off for the last few months.  I’m going to be in New York very soon for a speaking engagement and so I was planning on seeing her and who knows.  She already broke up with that boyfriend.  So this was the first time we were ever talking when she was single.

I don’t want to go into too much detail since this all happened in the last few months and it’s recent history etc.  But the things I’ve learned is that people really don’t change.  She is 100% the same girl I knew 5 years ago.  She still plays the same games.  She still has the same issues.  She still knows how to break my heart without feeling anything.

Now I have changed a LOT since the last go round.  This time I was texting her while texting a hot lesbian in Nashville AND a hot lesbian in DC.  So the power dynamic has changed.  The games don’t hurt me.

The main reason I even put up with this is that at my heart I am a scientist and I love to see how experiements play out so I can report back to all you guys.  And my conclusion is this dudes.  Don’t go back.  You need to only look forward.  As much history as I have with this girl it just ain’t worth it.

But I can tell you write now that she will email or text or skype me sometime in the next few months.  And I will be tempted.  But I know my brothers will stop me from poisoning myself.

So please.  Try to stay cured of Oneitis.

How to Send the Perfect 1st Text After You Get a Woman’s Number

Here’s My Process For Following Up With A Woman After I Get Her Number

You aren’t the only guy going after the girls you’re interested in.

While that statement is exceptionally simple, it is also crucial to keep in mind if your goal is dating your ultimate woman.

Why?

Because chances are she’s giving out her number on a regular basis and, as a result, you need to maintain (or build) her attraction in you EVERY step of the interaction.

You did yourself well in getting her number, but if you want to actually date her, it’s what you after you receive her number that sets you apart enough to make her want to date you.

In this post, I’m going to show you how I do that with my first text. You’re going to learn how to solidify her attraction and consistently turn your numbers into actual dates. There are just a few key principles you need to know and they are very easy to learn.

You see, a lot of guys can get a girl’s number, but what often happens is they get so excited about pulling numbers… that they give little thought to what to do with them.

(I’m going to avoid the debate of calling versus texting for now, but what you should know is texting is better during these early stages. Not only is it becoming the de facto way to communicate (especially with people you just met), but it’s lower pressure for her, lets her respond when she has the time, and vastly increases YOUR chances of hearing back from her.)

So let’s talk about how to nail that first text, so you can maintain (or grow) her attraction in you and move closer to that first date.

What Your 1st Text Subconsciously Tells Her About You

Though you are only sending 1-3 lines of text, you are giving off (often unconsciously) signals that tell her a lot about what type of guy you are.

For example:

1. Is meeting women a typical behavior for you?
2. Do you have high Social Value?
3. Are you easily manipulated or do you have a strong sense of personal identity?
4. What kind of personality do you have? Will you be able to excite her and make her laugh? Or are you boring like every other guy?
5. Are you needy or do you have other things going on in your life?

These are just a few of the things she will subconsciously pick up from your text messages… and they impact her decision of whether or not she’ll want to move forward with the relationship.

This may seem like a lot pressure to cram on a few lines of text, but once you incorporate these principles into your text game you will naturally give off the right signals.

To begin, we need to look at why most guys don’t get this right.

First Text No-No’s

For many guys the first text is a stressful, agonizing experience. You sit there wracking your brain for hours to come up with the perfect zinger to send… but then end up with something brilliant like:

• Hey what’s up?
• Hey cutie, it was nice meeting you last night. Want to hang out tonight?
• How is your day going?
• What are you up to?
• Do you remember me? -{your name}
• Hey it’s {name} from the bar/party/club last night. What’s up?

These types of texts are typical and THAT’S WHY they’re boring.

Instead of setting you apart, they lump you right into the “lame/boring” category with every other guy.

Not only are they completely devoid of emotional impact, but they kill any initial attraction you built up with her when you got her number in the first place.

What A 1st Text SHOULD Do

How do you write a 1st text that sets you apart and makes her excited to text you back? There are three essential ingredients I’ve found you need:

1. It needs to set a fun, playful tone for future interactions
2. It needs to engage her emotions, causing her to re-affirm her attraction to you
3. It needs to compel her to respond

If you can accomplish all of these in your first text, odds are she will not only respond positively, but will be much more willing to move forward with you.

Let’s take a look how to each element works and how to incorporate them together in your first text.

1. Setting a Fun, Playful Tone

This may sound crazy at first, but fourth-grade humor should be the underlying theme for most of your text messages, including the initial interaction. (This stems from the larger point of your overall successful text strategy, but that is too big for one article. You can learn more about that here.)

Light-hearted, super-silly jokes win women over because they get her constantly associating positive and playful emotions with you.

You can accomplish this by using a variety of tools: nicknames, role-playing, teasing, etc. Plus, always remember that the way you word things has a dramatic effect on how it is perceived, like “dancing” vs “bust-a-move.”

2. Engaging Her Emotions and Re-affirming Attraction

The most powerful and important element of your first text is engaging her emotions.

The primary goal of your initial texts should be helping her re-experience the feelings of attraction you created when you got her number. You want to continue with whatever you did to make her attracted in the first place…

… and the easiest way to do so is by referencing a topic from your past conversation.

This will cause her to recall her time with you and to feel those same emotions she felt at that point – the very emotions that were the foundation of her attraction to you (and you to her as well).

The last thing you want is to have to start back at Square One and re-build positive emotions in her. Instead, pick up where you left off and you’ll be able to move your relationship along much quicker.

3. Compelling Her to Respond

How do you compel attractive women to consistently respond to your first texts? The same way you get anyone to respond: by asking a question or making a statement that requires more info.

Now here’s the catch: you can’t just pop her any old question or statement… otherwise, Hey what’s up? would be effective. What kind of question do you ask? Simply take a basic question and re-word it so it becomes fun and playful.

Example:

What’s up? becomes What kind of mischief are you causing today?

Here’s another example that would require additional information: I just figured out what you would be if you were an animal. If she wants to know the answer she has to text you back.

The secret is to make the statement about her personally. Nothing makes a person more curious than what someone else thinks about them.

What an Effective First Text Looks Like

Imagine that during your conversation she told you how she used to always go to the zoo to see the penguins. She was obsessed with them and went to bed every night until she was twelve with her stuffed penguin, Chilly Willy.

When it comes time to text her, you can now draw from that story to not only show that you listened (good job), but more importantly, to evoke all those emotions again.

Next you compel her to respond by adding a question or statement that requires more information.

You then set a fun and playful tone not only by the way you word your text, but by adding in things like nicknames, role-playing, teasing, etc.

If you put it all together it would look something like this:

Hey my little penguin princess, what kind of mischief are you causing today!?

Or

Hey my little penguin princess, I just realized which celebrity you remind me of.. crazy crazy

As brief and silly as these messages seem, they accomplish a lot:

• They cause her to recall the positive feelings she had when sharing that story with you, re-affirming her attraction to you.
• They also demonstrate that you are not like every other guy and compel her to respond in a playful way.

This puts her guard down and sets the tone for a successful interaction. The first example even lets you know what her plans are for the day… and you can then use this information to move the conversation forward and perhaps even plan a meet up. Not bad for a few lines of text.

As you begin using this system, you should know that while the exact words you use are pretty important, the main thing to worry about right now is following the 3 principles I just laid out (and I KNOW they work because I’ve been using them successfully myself for quite some time now).

And that’s part of the beauty of it: you no longer need to stress over what to say.

Next time you get a number, you just need to remember these 3 principles as you recall the interaction and you’ll naturally know how to follow up with her.

It’s OK if it feels weird the first time you try it — it’s something new. But remember, if you aren’t happy with the results you’re getting right now, the only way to change that is to change what you’re doing.

So give it a shot and allow yourself the opportunity to see what happens. What’s the worst that could happen? What’s the *best* that could happen?

I’ll finish with one last note: if you are still following a 3-day or any other kind of rule about how long to wait until you send the first text, cut it out already!

The feeling of attraction is fleeting, so you have to strike while the iron is hot.

Don’t give her time for the memory of you to fade away… or, even worse, get replaced by another guy. You should almost always text a girl within hours of getting her number, and never later than the next day.

This is another amazing video from Ted.com.  The quality of their content is unparalleled.  Here Dan Ariely teaches us how human attraction can be manipulated by a simple understanding of social dynamics and the way we react to competition and our environment.  I found this video to be truly amazing.  If you want to be more attactive, just stand next to an uglier version of yourself. Now you know why I hang out with JohnnyC69 and Inbred.

Somehow a single facebook update has put me at the center of some major pickup industry drama.  But I have no regrets.  You live and learn and sometimes you gotta risk your career just to stand up for what you believe in.

I am going to write an individual post reviewing each coach I met this week, but for now I will just give you the highlights.  I walked out of the entire things yesterday.  Along with one of the paying students.  3 others told me they wanted refunds for how badly they were treated and lied to.

Highlights -

1. Johnny didn't do a SINGLE demo the entire week

2. Most of the coaches took one workshop with him a year ago and started a dating company

3. I got drunk one night and yelled at a coach to open a set or quit the business.  So far he has done neither.

4. Only one coach got laid all week.  Unfortunately, he spent all his time doing that instead of coaching the students.  To be honest I don't blame him, as neither of us realized the other coaches were terrible until much later in the week.

5.  Nearly every coach and student was forced to change rooms at 10am during the week.  I actually had to change rooms 5 times in 5 days.  Due to horrible planning.

6.  The title of the event was learn to pick up porn stars at the AVN expo.  The students were never allowed to go to the AVN.  I asked several times and so did several students.  We were all told it wasn't good this year and that more seminars would be a better use of time.

7.  The students were sold on going to a super elite private fetish porn start afterparty.  Three of the students were turned away from the event for not being on the list.

8.  EVERY SINGLE coach who went to the party got in by taking a prostitute – Except for my man Orleans.

9.  Two students missed the infield events two nights in a row – and nobody noticed except for me.

10. Steve P and Future never came.  And I found out that although he was advertised for months, Orleans was only booked 3 days before the event.

11. The most authority was given to Hristiyan Atanasov.  He opened zero sets all week and was shot down over and over.  He had the balls to say in seminar that he isn't good at picking up women, he is good at getting picked up. 

12.  This "coach" tricked to models into coming into a seminar, positioned them on barstools next to the window with 20 strange guys between them and the door and then proceeded to make them so uncomfortable that by the end one of the girls said she wanted to slap him.  (This review is gonna BLOW YOUR MINDS)

13.  One of the students stormed out of the seminar he was so offended and nobody paid attention.

14.  Most of the students got zero in-field coaching as all of the coaches were too busy trying to meet girls themselves.

15.  AFC Adam's dad was forced to room with me, even though the poor guy is 70 and doesn't deserve to be in such an awkward situation.

16.  Erika Awakening told a student that you can use EFT to "tap away shit-tests" – don't worry I actually got this on video.

17.  I ended up calling my dad 4 days into the workshop nearly in tears telling him I wanna come home from summer camp early.  I am in VEGAS and I wanted to go home.  It was that bad.

18.  The students were taken to the same bar in field 5 nights in a row.  The ratio was never better than 20-1, but they were told that they needed to tighten up their game.

19.  The students who signed up for an event called "Picking Up Porn Stars" were told that this was NOT a pickup event upon arrival.

20.  Everyone was housed in timeshare apartments instead of any of the nice hotels on the strip.

21.  A student and I got a room in a nice hotel for less than the workshop was charging and nobody cared.

22.  Johnny didn't even react until I posted a comment on facebook that I left a bad bootcamp.

23.  The students were brought to a last minute intervention because of my post and ONLY because I said they had all used the word refund with me and promised 1on1 infield with Johnny on Sunday – then THAT didn't even happen.

It has been 24 hours since I walked out of the bootcamp.  Before I left I tried to speak to Johnny and I did speak to several of the other coaches.  Nobody took any action until my comment on facebook.  I had forgotten how many coaches I'm friends with.  At first I was called a traitor.  Then for a while I was being accused of running a secret bootcamp behind the scenes.  THEN I was accused of sabotaging the whole event.  Finally, I was told that if they had known I was coaching in field I would have been told to stop, as an event called "Picking Up Porn Stars" was not about pickup but was about transcending the modern mindset. 

To be honest I REALLY TRIED to get down with this system and learn about moving my life to the next level.  In the end I learned that the core of the system is about lying to women and trying to bang as many married women as possible.  All week the talk was about emancipating women and freeing them from tying their sexuality to economics.  I thought that concept was cool.  Until I heard his "top students" talking about how they just wanted to bang some bitches this week.  I was so uncomfortable with how people talked about women all week that I wanted to leave days ago.  I have three sisters, a mom and two nieces.  Unlike the rest of these guys I think of women as people and apparently that is just all wrong.

I am trying not to sound bitter or anything, but instead to be totally honest about my experience.  Obviously, bringing me to this event was a mistake as I can't sit idly by and let students get screwed.  There are too many charlatans in this business.  All week people were bitching about Sinn hating  on Johnny. I met Sinn once and to be honest, the dude is pretty much a dick, but he IS a good instructor and his blog is good.  I have recommended it in the past.  Anyways, get ready for a ton more drama.  Johnny is already emailing other companies saying what a dick I am.

I am just trying to get through my dissertation so that I can get back to living my life and posting for you guys.  I have to finish it in the next 7 days, so after that I will be back!

So I finally decided to upgrade my Twitter after nearly a year.  As usual I upgraded because I got jealous of my good friend Soul’s blog.  I helped set his up last year and I still think it’s one of the best looking ones out there.  Plus hes got such killer content.

I followed the procedure to the letter and upgrading should have taken about 40 minutes.  With all of the file deletes and transfers.  Something was wrong with the config.php file they told me to keep from my old version of wordpress.  I posted for advice on the forums and then I scoured the wordpress site and finally decided to put my database info into the new version of the php.

Not really sure why that made such a difference but it really fixed all my problems.  There are gonna be some more of these happening for a few hours here and there over the next week.  I am trying to do it all during the middle of the night.  My main issue right now is some html errors in the wordpress or template code.  I think this is why I am having issues with technorati.  I hope I don’t have to change templates….

So I have been away for three weeks.  I had no idea it was so long!  I think it’s because I have been writing every day.  Sorry to neglect you guys.  I went to Tunisia to meet a girl.  She was stunning.  It really breaks all the normal rules for meeting girls off the net.  She was beautiful and amazing.  We almost went to jail for 25 years together.  I am writing a full short story about it, so I haven’t posted about it here.  We are still in touch and she is amazing.  If we weren’t oceans apart…..I did ask her to marry me, but she said it was too soon.  When I came back to London, spent the night with the German.  She gave me a lot of LMR, but in the end I slipped in a finger.  Next time we’ll shag.  She’s away now!  My ebook is almost done and I should be releasing it in the next few weeks!!!

With my trip to cancun a week behind me, I can begin to look back and reflect on a week in the sun. so many things about my life have changed. I am definitely gonna get more nlp in my life. That session blew my mind big time. It has really stuck and I have worked out three times this week. Really every weekday since I came back to london. Even when i’m working out and starting to flag I pinch my trigger and it pushes me through. I can now run a 5k in under 40min and I feel electric. I was topless for all of cancun and I really didn’t care. I would have taken off my shorts too. I feel no association between my body and my self image. It just doesn’t matter. My trip was better because of it. I met some nice girls and really the important lesson is what I learned about myself.

I really don’t like american girls. It makes sense. I have lived most of my adult life outside of america. There is a flaw in the culture that really bothers me. There is this obsession with the superficial that goes even beyond me. I met a couple hundred girls last week and none passed my initial screening question. When I ask a girl what she likes besides work, I don’t want to hear drinking, partying or shopping. It makes me suicidal. How can a person bring nothing to the table? Then again I probably said the same things when I was 18. I think that if I met ten-years-ago me we would hate each other. Although we would look pretty similar.

The best part of the trip was making connections and building up friendships. I got to spend one on one time with HiRoller for the first time. He is such a maniac. Really a sound guy. Now I want to go to Oslo so bad just to spend time with him. Really I am tempted to pursue working for LS just because of the guys. They are all such legends. He had the most amazing stories about his crazy life in oslo I can’t even tell you. Spending time with mr m again was good. Sometimes I forget just how famous etc he is. I mean i’ve known him for a full year now. And I am not even similar. He played such a major role in my forging that I think he’s proud of the changes i’ve made in my life.

We spent some time together along with Braddock and it was just cool. This year I am all about inner game. Nothing else matters. My technique is flawless. It’s when my sense of self, my core, slips that I lose the girl. Now I have a long way to go to bring it all home, but things that used to rock me don’t even matter.

The best part of the trip was going to playa del carmen. Mr m trusted me with his most important students. I was with three students and midnight cowboy. Now i’ve known him a little since last summer, but i’ve not spent time with him for real before. The guy is insanely good. In two years that’s where I want to be. He asked me to use my first opener on a girl. She was one of the most beautiful girls i’ve ever spoken to, if not the most beautiful. I walked up and asked who lies more, cats or dogs? She was norwegian so I had to repeat it. I dont think she ever understood, but she told me she likes dogs. We talked on and off for 30 minutes. Honestly, I did quite well, but I slipped. I kept thinking I have nothing to say. This should never happen. When I ran out of things to say I was just quiet and calm. I didn’t freak out. Anyways, there is no point going into too many details. She was lovely and really sweet and made me love the kind of woman who lives in mexico for a while.

The students had an amazing night and I tried a new exercise with them. I think it’s money for teaching internationally. One of the students told me that two girls definitely spoke english so I opened them and rolled into my standard material. The first two minutes are always the same for me. It’s only phattic communication so it doesn’t really matter anyway. I’m rolling through and the girls don’t speak a word of english. I think that’s so funny. I just keep going and saying what I would always say and using the same body language. The girls were reacting perfectly. I brought in a different student to translate for me. Now for some reason he kept thinking I was talking to him, so the translation was a little off. Not his fault. Just a miscommunication. This beautiful mexican girl was loving me. Laughing and smiling. All the signals you want to see. Unfortunately, I could feel I was about ten percent off. Rather than let it slip away, I ejected with the intention of returning. Of course I never saw her again.

The students all had an amazing night and were opening anything and everything. They had such an amazing time that the other students and teachers all went to playa the next night. By the end of the night the students were loving the translation game and they were bringing me girls. I met an amazing girl at the end of the night. I see the cutest girl working at the last bar as a glass collector. My student runs over and tells her in spanish I think she’s cute but i’m too shy. I underestimated her.

When it comes to verbal ju jitsu, I can usually hold my own and I am rarely defeated. I just have the gift of the gab and years of training. This girl was so slippery. I could feel the conversation just out of my reach. She was using frames better than most guys I know and trapping me. She walks up to me and speaks perfect english, including super tight slang. She’s like I speak english. But most shy guys turn out to be the worst in the end. Suddenly she reversed my shy move! Now I have to defend being shy, which i’m not. I was stuck. I was pretty drunk so I was thinking a little slow. Which is really all it takes. Then she starts talking about how she hates when guys try and use money to get her. She was like I have my own job and I don’t need anyone to save me. I was like good news! I ain’t rich. We chatted and chatted, but I couldn’t get the date sorted. Her next day off was when I was flying off to london again. Nothing to be done.

It just goes to show that underestimating people is a mistake. Too often I do it to myself and I need to work on it. Overall mexico was amazing. I have changed a few things in my game. I am getting closer and closer to just opening with hi, i’m paladin. But i’m not quite there yet. The real lesson is that i’m now traveling the world and making friends with millionaires and it’s whatever. I am learning to fit into any social situation. I am constantly growing and I can feel it. Mr m told me that he and braddock can see how different I am and they now enjoy being around me even more. I’m in the middle of my journey, but I would never go back.
