Tonight I was at my brutal kickboxing gym. Ever since I have become friends with all my instructors, they have been pushing me so much harder. I always have grudge matches with my house mate. I asked to have one lesson where he doesn’t wear me out with cardio so that I’ll have a chance. My house mate works out 7 times a week and isn’t burdened with an awesome life like I am, so he has an edge whenever we get worn out even before we start sparring.
Of course my instructor just works me ten times harder. He has started giving me really hard fights and giving my house mate easy ones. It sucks. Right now I have so much leg pain. But I will be an amazing fighter. He is training me so much harder than anyone else. I am in way better condition that I have been in ages. My training regime is really paying off in how I feel about myself and how I just feel in life.
Normally we have a fight and then a round off, but tonight I fought in 7 out of the 8 rounds. I got really worn out and my legs are damaged, but I held my own. And lucky me, I didn’t get knocked out. A few months ago I would have died. I can’t recommend doing things that are hard enough. Pushing yourself is awesome!
