So I discovered after extensive testing exactly which nerve isn’t working right. It’s the outside nerve on my left eye. I now have an eye patch and special glasses to help me get through the day. Using either is a real struggle and today I have tried a couple hours with one and then a couple of hours with the other. I have to see some serious specialists on Friday. That is really fast in the world of the NHS. The usual causes of this kind of problem are diabetes, tumor, multiple sclerosis, meningitis, high blood pressure, blockage in an artery or aneurysm. I know I don’t have most of these. So we will have to see what’s going on.
There is a hereditary aspect as my mom has had this problem, along with her brother. So there was something floating in my dna that decided to do this one day. Both of them got better, it’s just a question of how long it takes. I am wearing the eye patch a lot as a way of resting my eye in the hopes that it will help. But what do I really know.
Here is a picture of pretty close to what I’m going through. Looking into my eyes, my condition is barely noticable, but most pics on the net are way too cross-eyed. Also, in my opinion if you look closely, most people are cross eyed. Anyways, you can look at the pic and kind of see the nerve stuff going on inside my brain. I’ll try to get them to let me keep copies of my scans on friday. I always want to keep xrays of me, but doctors are really stingy about that. Hell if I know why.
